Me, the Walls, and a Lost Name

The room, the walls, and me
we live under the same roof, sit on the same old chair, and share memories that nobody talks about.
But we are not the same.

Everyone has their own problems
some fight for the future,
some try to forget the past.
And me? I am just quiet, stuck between all this noise.

There is a man here — people call him Yuganta.
His name means the “end of an era.”
Sometimes I think he chose that name for himself.
He was once a rebel, full of fire.

People say he led the movement to close schools in the village.
He spoke loudly on stages, his eyes full of passion.
He was brave and strong.

But time changed, and Yuganta disappeared.
Not because of violence or prison
but because he learned silence can be louder than shouting.

One day, he quietly came to this room,
and decided to stay silent.

But the room remembers him.
The walls remember the torn posters he put up.
And I?
I am what is left of the memory he wanted to forget.

His real name was Nirav
which means silent and calm.

Now, he calls himself “me.”
He gave his words to the world,
but now he keeps silence for himself.
The slogans he hung are torn from the walls,
but inside, his heart is still restless.

Maybe he didn’t lose courage.
Maybe silence is his last way to fight.
Not peace
but drowning in emptiness.

I keep asking myself
Did Yuganta really disappear?
Or is he still alive,
hidden behind silence?

And you
Are you looking for your own Yuganta?
